How to Share Your Faith With Your Little One (With Free eBook!)

We all know the Proverb:

“Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6 NAS).

As a new parent, I feel the responsibility that comes with this verse. But I don’t just want Gordon to grow up to be a good man, I want him to be a godly man. I want him to know God intimately and to follow Him all the days of his life—and for that, I have to purposefully share my faith with him.

Most parents don’t think of themselves as ministers, but we most definitely are! It is our responsibility to minister to our children—to actually share the good news of the Bible with them. Unfortunately, many parents don’t feel equipped to do this or simply don’t know when and where to begin—and I get it! I mean, how do you make your 4-year-old understand the concept of an all-powerful, all-knowing God who came to earth in the form of man so we can have a relationship with Him? It’s not an easy task! It’s also not a one-and-done activity. It takes time for children (and adults) to understand even the most basic truths of our awesome God. But by sharing your faith with your little one, you’re laying a foundation that he can build on for the rest of his life.

If you have children in your family, take a look at my new eBook, “Big God, Little You: Ten Ways to Introduce Your Little One to this Great Big God of Ours.” The methods listed—like praying and worshiping with your little one—are simple but practical and can be incorporated into your daily routine.

As a parent, you are uniquely qualified to share your faith with your little one. Download the eBook and get started today.

  1. Ashley what a great guide. I know when my kids were little, I wasn’t walking with the Lord, but now I get a second chance with my precious Grand babies… I love you always listening to your grandma singing or humming a hymn.. What a precious memory. God bless on your new journey!
