Enjoying a book by friend Kristen Hogrefe.

From time to time, I’ll invite a fellow author, mentor, or friend to share a story or lesson here on Big Sister Knows. When I do, please leave a comment to let us know how much the post encouraged you or made you smile. After all, that’s what this blog is all about.

Amanda Flinn is an award winning writer, blogger, book nerd and follower of Jesus. She is represented by Cyle Young at Hartline Literary Agency and recently signed her first publishing contract. Inspired by her own trio of rowdy boys, she spends her time assisting with their adventures and then quietly sneaks off to write about them. She reminds herself everyday that “life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful” and has just one teeny tiny mission: to love people and to live well. You can learn more about Amanda by visiting her website at www.amandaflinn.com.

Jeff and Dee Holbrook were raised in Christian homes in rural West Virginia. They ministered in music and teaching over the years, but are now retired. After 37 years of marriage, they find it wonderful to finally have time to do more things together, like traveling and collecting cast iron cookware to create meals for their YouTube channel. After they make a dish, they get to eat it. What could be better? You can find them at FiredCastIron.com.
